With monochrome being such a big hit at many of the shows at NYFW... Here's a taste of high street monochrome by online retailer Miss Guided.. Love the black and white Holler dress, perfect for slimming your waistline..

When I think of my perfect Summer I think of the bohemian setting I have experienced so many times in Ibiza, maybe it's because I've spent so much time there over the last few years and it's where I feel most relaxed in my own styling.. Floaty, care free and relaxed are three words that I would use to best describe it and it's those same words I would use for the Marc by Marc Jacobs show at New York Fashion Week...
With printed scarves wrapped around the head and waist and a mix of tropical colours including hot pink and bright orange, the looks were relaxed with soft layering in textures and prints.. I also loved the ankle strap shoes teamed with grey marl socks, giving it a unique traveller feel..
After watching some of the shows, it looks like red, pink and orange are the colours to watch for S/S '13 and I'm already excited to be wearing more of these colour next year..
Here are some of my best choices and the whole collection can be viewed here at Vogue
Victoria Beckham Strikes Again At New York Fashion Week...
I couldn't wait to get home today to read the NYFW highlights and I was left feeling happy and excited after reading about Victoria Beckham's show. I'd seen a few things on Twitter about it, but it was definitely one of my favourite shows to date at NYFW.. I completely fell in LOVE with some of Victoria's designs, especially the matching two-piece suit with flippy skirt and her bold coloured shift dress with nude gladiator boots.. Right up my street because they are stylish and very wearable!! Victoria also produced some of her statement pencil dresses with cute pointy collars and double mesh straps..
As always, here are some of my favourite pieces but please do check out her full collection at Vogue
Even if you're not a big Victoria fan, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by her collection..
It's fair to say that ChloBo jewellery has definitely been 'one to watch' this year.. The founder of ChloBo, Miss Chloe Moss is a lovely lady friend that I've known for quite a few years now and running a business myself, I know just how hard it can be to develop a passion into a dream..
It's really nice to see just how much ChloBo has developed over the past year or so.. With a variety of ChloBo's products featuring in all the top fashion mags from Look Magazine to Vogue!! And with a host of celebrities fans frequently spotted wearing their ChloBo stacks, it's no surprise how quickly the ChloBo brand has caught on to the rest of us..
The amazing success of ChloBo has also been recognised by the Professional Jeweller Magazine; whom have just secured ChloBo a place into their Hot 100 list.. Each year the magazine’s editorial team selects 100 individuals from the UK jewellery industry, of whom they believe have shown strengths of true innovation and business drive over the past 12 months. Chloe is listed as one of their ‘NexGems’ alongside other up and coming jewellery designers... And I bet that she is thrilled!! :)
ChloBo also has an exciting new range just out called After Dark; which is inspired by a trip Chloe made to the magical city of Istanbul.
Here Chloe explains her inspiration for the collection..
"I love the metallic trends for A/W 12 - its no secret that I'm obsessed with sequins, glitter, sparkle... What girl isn't!? With this at the forefront of my mind, Haematite and Pyrite were the perfect stones to use for this collection. I was really inspired for the theme of the range when I visited Istanbul on a ChloBo trip. By day the old town is teaming with tradesmen and traffic and the pavements are hot and dusty. As the city’s lights switch on at dusk, the place becomes a twinkling kingdom and the glitz and glam come out to play. It was whilst having dinner in a restaurant called 360, high above the rooftops with the stunning city below, that I thought of the name for this collection - After Dark!"
Here's a peak into the amazing new ChloBo After Dark collection.. This collection along with many others designed by Chloe are available to buy now at ChloBo
I can't get enough of the amazing outfits at the Alexander Wang show at New York Fashion Week. So many to choose from; with a strong emphasis on clean lines - gaps in seams and strappy footwear.. I think this will be a trend to watch for Spring/Summer 2013.. Here are some of my favourite pieces but with so many to choose from, it's definitely worth viewing the whole show... Full collection can be viewed here at Vogue L xox www.lisaelliottfashionstylist.co.uk
The colours were big and bold for the Joseph Abboud Spring/Summer '13 Men's Wear Collection at New York Fashion Week. Nothing like you boys wearing a bright statement colour to catch our wandering eye....
Love these power blue colours mixed with pleats, pointy collars, floral jacquard, diamond geo prints and soft leather clutch bags by designer Peter Som.. As seen on the Spring/Summer 2013 catwalk at New York Fashion Week... Excited for Spring/Summer 2013 already!!
I love these sleek sports max inspired pieces by fabulous designer Helmut Lang. As seen at the Spring/Summer 2013 shows at New York Fashion Week... Love the neutral tones and sleek shapes!! Full collection can be viewed here at Vogue
I love this pic of one of the Olsen twins (I'm not quite sure which Olsen it is!) in classic 'Teddy Girl' styling.. Love her messy quiff hair, flying around in the wind.. And her chic and boyish styling in black and white!! It's been in my styling reference folder for a long time now but thought I would share it with you today because it is one of my favs... Beautiful xx
I love the new Autumn/Winter Advertising campaign by Accessorize. They never fail to create a quirky ad that really attracts your attention, whether it's across the pages in a magazine or when you walk past one of their shop windows.. I always love how it is styled, busy with lots of things going on, but you're still able to identify the things that they are selling..
Here are a few of my favourite pics from the campaign..
I was asked by The Bag Servant to nominate a bag for the 'Bag of the month' competition they hold on their website each month. The competition gives the chance for readers to win an amazing Radley Grosvenor Shoulder Bag and Purse. So with much deliberation, I decided to choose the fabulous Pierre Hardy rucksack in colbolt blue. The reasons for my choice were... “I especially love the bright blue colour because it is screams boldness and fun! It would bring a instant colour lift to any outfit, even black; and it has the added feature of having lots of compartments for all your little things. The style of the bag is perfect for the festival season but will also take you into the Autumn/Winter season for a more classic preppy look.” I don't really own any rucksacks, apart from a sports one I use when I go walking or snowboarding.. So this bag really stood out to me because of it's amazing colour and unique style. Not only is colbolt blue a key colour trend for Autumn/Winter '12, its compact design means you can even wear it whilst riding your bicycle to work or carrying your heavy shopping bags!! You can view this competition and vote for my Pierre Hardy bag of month choice at The Bag Servant where they showcase a wide range of other Pierre Hardy handbags. Thank you so much for your support, it is very much appreciated!! L xox www.lisaelliottfashionstylist.co.uk
I've been shooting some pieces of the Pretty Green label this week, which is Liam Gallagher's very own men's wear fashion range. If you're the kind of lad that likes the British mod rocker look then this brand is definitely for you... With it's button down polo shirts and thick cotton parka's, the Green Label range is not just affordable, it's very well made with good quality fabrics and nice little attention to detail around the collars and cuffs.
Pretty Green also do a Black Label range that is a little more high-end and expensive, with products including statement outerwear pieces including overcoats and unique tailoring with the typical mod style suit. The pieces are well designed to show their true British mod style prestige, with a splash of 70's style inspiration. They also sell a range of denim, footwear and accessories, including Liam's famous circle rimmed sunglasses, inspired by the Beatles legend John Lennon.
I think the brand has really been marketed well and I really love their new Autumn/Winter look book campaign, very cool and collected.. Complete with a short fashion film in which Liam actually appears!!
You can see the video here...
Also, here are some of my favourite pieces from the amazing Black Label range, available online now at Pretty Green
I received the new Autumn/Winter 2012 look book by Ravel the other day and was instantly spoilt for choice with their fabulous new boot selection. Ravel has always been one for a good quality footwear and these styles below are no exception!! I think my favourite style is the Kellis in black and tan brown for £100. I just love the contrasting black leather against the tan brown leather strap; meaning you don't have the dilemma of whether to wear a black or brown bag, you can wear either!! With knee high boots being the key footwear trend of the A/W 2012 season, you will have no trouble in choosing a great pair by Ravel.
Ravel are set to launch their exciting new website very soon, where you will be able to purchase these boots and a wider selection of footwear to be delivered direct to your door... Watch this space for their amazing new website complete with fashion tips on how to wear and Ravel's very own blog.
