After Dark - It's All About ChloBo...

ChloBo Jewellery...

It's fair to say that ChloBo jewellery has definitely been 'one to watch' this year.. The founder of ChloBo, Miss Chloe Moss is a lovely lady friend that I've known for quite a few years now and running a business myself, I know just how hard it can be to develop a passion into a dream..

It's really nice to see just how much ChloBo has developed over the past year or so.. With a variety of ChloBo's products  featuring in all the top fashion mags from Look Magazine to Vogue!! And with a host of celebrities fans frequently spotted wearing their ChloBo stacks, it's no surprise how quickly the ChloBo brand has caught on to the rest of us.. 

The amazing success of ChloBo has also been recognised by the Professional Jeweller Magazine; whom have just secured ChloBo a place into their Hot 100 list.. Each year the magazine’s editorial team selects 100 individuals from the UK jewellery industry, of whom they believe have shown strengths of true innovation and business drive over the past 12 months. Chloe is listed as one of their ‘NexGems’ alongside other up and coming jewellery designers... And I bet that she is thrilled!! :)

ChloBo also has an exciting new range just out called After Dark; which is inspired by a trip Chloe made to the magical city of Istanbul. 

Here Chloe explains her inspiration for the collection..

"I love the metallic trends for A/W 12 - its no secret that I'm obsessed with sequins, glitter, sparkle... What girl isn't!? With this at the forefront of my mind, Haematite and Pyrite were the perfect stones to use for this collection. I was really inspired for the theme of the range when I visited Istanbul on a ChloBo trip. By day the old town is teaming with tradesmen and traffic and the pavements are hot and dusty. As the city’s lights switch on at dusk, the place becomes a twinkling kingdom and the glitz and glam come out to play. It was whilst having dinner in a restaurant called 360, high above the rooftops with the stunning city below, that I thought of the name for this collection - After Dark!"

Contemporary Jewellery by the fabulous Shimell & Madden...

The Cuboid Collection...

I came across this beautiful contemporary styled jewellery the other day, designed by artistic mathematical duo designers, Shimell and Madden of London. Their latest collection is called The Cuboid Collection and as you can see, it's based around the simple shape of a 3D cube, with their inspiration being to; capturing simple symbols of dimension and perspective. 

Based in Shoreditch, East London, Shimell and Madden occupy the space where craft, art and fashion intersect. Makers of jewellery and objects, they explore ideas of science and time. Their geometric style has a sense of balanced beauty, defined by its aesthetic precision and sensitivity to material.

Shimell and Madden also create private commission work for people and continuously work with photographers, creating large fashion pieces for photo shoots. With some recent work being showcased in the August 2012 issue of Mayfair Magazine

I myself, particularly love the simple shape and structure of each piece with its parallel lines and clean geometric shapes; they remind me of a modern day art deco inspiration brought into the modern day era through 3D designs.

You can see more of their amazing work at Shimell and Madden with their brand new collection launching before Christmas and an exclusive gold and diamond collection launching early next year. Shimell and Madden also have an exciting new website in the making with plans for customers to be able to purchased items direct from them online.


For now though, The Cuboid Collection is exclusively on sale until 2nd September at The Metric Summer Shop, 94 Columbia Road, London, E2 7QB.
